Right of withdrawal and returns at Bilmedie – safe, fast and fair handling
When you shop with Bilmedie, you should feel completely confident. We know that choosing the right car radio online can be difficult – which is why you of course have a 14-day right of withdrawal, as required by law. You are welcome to open, inspect and examine the item, since you cannot see it in person before buying.
You have the right to inspect the item
When you buy electronics online, you are entitled to examine the item just as you would in a physical store.
- You are welcome to unpack the radio, look at it, feel the build quality and inspect it.
- However, you must not connect the radio to the car or begin installation, as it will then be considered used.
Once a radio has been connected to the vehicle’s system, it may store information such as Bluetooth devices, GPS routes and the car’s VIN. For data security and quality reasons, Bilmedie never sells used products on the website – we take responsibility for ensuring that our customers always receive brand-new radios.
How to return an item
If you wish to cancel your purchase, simply email us at info@Carmediaeurope.com within 14 days of receiving the item.
- Your order number
- Which item you would like to return
- Whether the item is unopened, opened or tested
We can create a return label for you through our portal, so you can send the item back easily. If you use our label, the shipping cost will simply be deducted from your refund (typically DKK 65). Of course, you are also welcome to use your own shipping solution.
Once we receive the item, our technicians will inspect it within a few business days. In the vast majority of cases, we process the refund within 1–3 days, but by law it may take up to 14 days.
Example 1: The customer who changes their mind
A customer orders a 9” Professional Android radio for his Audi A4. He unpacks the radio and inspects it, but decides that it is not for him after all.
The item is returned, and the customer receives a full refund.
Example 2: The customer where an objective loss in value is deducted
Another customer orders a 9” Performance radio and connects it for testing. He cannot get the steering wheel controls to work. The radio stores the car’s data, and the technicians can see that it has been used.
Bilmedie offers several solutions:
- We can send the radio back at no cost and help with the setup.
- We can exchange it for another model.
- Or we can issue a refund with a deduction for loss in value if the item can no longer be sold as new.
The customer chooses to have the radio returned and receives free technical support – and the case ends positively.
Loss in value – why it happens
If an item has been handled more than necessary, it may lose value. We always assess any loss in value objectively and with documentation. It is only used as a last resort – and we always seek an alternative solution that leaves both the customer and Bilmedie satisfied. Loss in value is not a gain for Bilmedie, but will always be a cost - if a customer loses money due to a loss in value, Bilmedie does too
When an item has been put into use
If a radio has been installed or used in a vehicle, it cannot be fully reset. Bilmedie never resells used products. We would rather take a loss than compromise on quality, warranty and data security.

At Bilmedie, we believe good service starts with honesty and trust. We handle all returns quickly, fairly and with respect for both the customer and the product.
A small number of reviews on Trustpilot may be negative when an item has been used and therefore cannot be returned as new. We understand that this can be disappointing – but we deliberately choose the responsible solution: We never resell used items on the website. This means no customer receives equipment containing someone else’s data, and quality is always factory-new. In practice, we would rather accept a financial loss than compromise on data security, warranty and ethics. For us, this is a positive decision that protects all customers. If Bilmedie has products in stock where depreciation has been deducted, these will typically be discarded or used for spare parts.
